ABOUT ME

89f2bb964bc31fbaa718ad68ef419515.jpg

Ever since I  was a child, I’ve always enjoyed engrossing myself in stories and games which made me physically feel emotion. Eventually, that grew in my heart into a want to create; I just love to play around with different software and see what manifests.

My favourite games are usually story-based RPGs like Shin Megami Tensei, or adventure games like 9 Persons, 9 Doors, 9 Hours. I really love Japanese games because of just how different the culture, world-building, and storytelling methodology is (especially in horror!).

Nowadays my favourite hobby is to travel the world to meet new people and create new stories.

CREATIVE

I have a lot of experience creating and pitching Game Design Documents to express my ideas. One example of this is my game idea which resulted in a nomination for the 2019 Young Game Designers BAFTA Award. I have participated in Game Jams and Ideation Sessions at conventions and game companies.

MY JOURNEY

I started as an 18-year old studying Game Design in Sixth Form, when a joke application during class ended up as a job working as a Software QA Tester at PlayStation! This then lead me to my job WWS Functional QA tester at Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe working on the DLC of my first credited title - Blood and Truth. I then worked part time as a QA Tester at Sumo Digital on a completely new IP (Hood: Outlaws & Legends) from it's early stages.

I went from a YGD Nominee in 2019, to judging it in 2022! I've also been on panels at Develop: Brighton, Yorkshire Games Fest, and at BAFTA

MEDIA

I’ve had the pleasure of being able to speak with the media about what I do, so here are some articles I’ve been featured in!!

PROGRAMMING

During Sixth Form, I completed an AQA Diploma in Scripting and Programming. This course allowed me to learn the core principles of computer science, software development and production. I studied web development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScipt and jQuery, mobile app development using Xamarin Android for Visual Studio and C#, SQL for database structures, and software development life cycle methodologies such as AGILE and Waterfall. Furthermore, in Level 3 BTEC Games Design, I used C# in Unity to create a number of games.

In University, I have taught myself Unreal Engine 4 blueprints. I began with learning the core concepts and have now moved onto learning how to create Artificial Intelligence using Blackboards, and creating Advanced Materials.
